On June 14th, it was announced in the email "U.S. Soccer Learning Center Launch Marks New Era of Member Service" about a variety of changes for the 2020 badge year.
Three US Soccer referees, currently at the FIFA Under 20 World Cup, were selected to work the final as on field officials and a fourth as VAR for the match between Ukraine vs Korea on Saturday June 15, 2019.

On 2 March 2019, the International Football Association Board (IFAB) held its 133rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Aberdeen, Scotland. The meeting, branded for "sensible changes to make the game better", was chaired by the President of the Scottish Football Association (SFA), Alan McRae and was attended by representatives from FIFA and the football associations of England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Discussions focused on several areas aimed at fine-tuning the Laws for the benefit of the game as well as an assessment of the use of Video Assistant Referees (VARs). To read more about the upcoming law changes, click here.

* PLEASE NOTE: While these law changes will be implemented on the majority of international competitions that will start after June 1, i.e. the Women's World Cup, Gold Cup, etc., any competition that has started play prior to June 1, i.e. MLS, USL, Adult or Youth Amateur Cup Events, etc., will not implement these law changes until they restart their next competition.
